Everyone, who goes to Bieszczady and visits Cisna and the nearby area, will surely hear of the famous “Bieszczady train” or “Bieszczady rail”. The best way to satisfy one’s curiosity and get to know what is so special about it is to go from Cisna towards Komańcza to a village called Majdan, where the main rail station is located and take a trip on one of the proposed routes.

Many ticket buyers will be surprised at the historic station, with an atmosphere of its own, at the small, very pleasant carriages and at the fact that during the trip they will go through the forest near the places which look as if they were at the end of the world, where the railway tracks are the only sign of civilisation. Not a long time ago it seemed that this unusual railway is bound to be liquidated, but due to the efforts of Bieszczady Forest Railway Foundation in Cisna – Majdan it could be reactivated and offered to tourists again.
